[Techo Kaigi 2026]
First time with a cover

Hello! My name is Kawamura, and Ifm a new member of the Hobonichi Techo team. I mainly work on writing content for the Hobonichi Techo Magazine. And after only six months on the team, I held my first ever Techo Kaigi! After much careful deliberation, herefs what I bought:

An Original size Avec & Day-Free

Alongside my work at Hobonichi, I also do some editing, so this year Ifve been using:
• HON: for Hobonichi work
• Weeks: for all other work
• Avec: as my private diary and notebook

Ifve used the user manual that came with my techo as the cover of my Avec, so it looks just like a paperback book.

Still, as someone who likes to travel light, carrying both the HON and the Weeks around has been a bit of a challenge. For the past ten years or so, Ifve used planners with a weekly-left layout like the Weeks. This year marked my first time using a page-per-day techo—and I was taken by how easy it is to use! I've been deeply enjoying it for half a year now. Thank you, everyone. Thank you, page-per-day.
That's why for 2026, Ifve decided to use the Original-size Avec as my main, with the Day-Free as a sub.

My first Techo Kaigi had been going smoothly until I hit one question: Which should I pick for my first ever cover? I spent a month and a half gazing at the Hobonichi Store, checking the stockroom, and wandering around Tobichi. Then after long deliberation, there was something about a particular cover—the gracious, confident lines that become this primitive and calming floral design...

I chose Makoto Matsubayashifs gSilver Flowers!h

Until now, I would tuck postcards and stamps into my bag or between books, but now they have their own proper place.

In the past—actually, up until the start of this year—Ifd buy my techo at the end of the year or right after the new year began. But being in the techo team, where the question of gWhich one are you getting next year?h starts popping up as early as September, it already—for me—feels like December. And now that Ifve bought my techo, I can't shake that festive New Yearfs mood.

What cover should I use for my personal diary next year?
Should I use the user manual + Original again? Or maybe the Bow & Tie: Galloping Horses HON since it's my zodiac year?
Seems like my Techo Kaigi is far from over...

Anyway, please look forward to tomorrowfs post!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
My way to enjoy writing

Hello!
Ifm Momo, and I work on both the Hobonichi Techo production team and the online store.

After some solo gTecho Kaigih time, herefs what I decided on for next yearfs setup.

At first, I thought Ifd use the Cousin English Edition (I actually helped in its production) and I even made a little resolution: gThis year, Ifll make sure to actually finish my planner—not just turn it into a random memo pad!h

Beyond that, I wanted to use it more intentionally—to write about my days, keep track of my health, jot down to-dos and passing thoughts, and record my feelings and moments that matter to me.

But midway through my Kaigi, as I picked up the Cousin, I suddenly hesitated. gMaybe... Ifm not ready for this yet.h Therefs something about those neatly divided pages—they make me feel like I have to write perfectly. Honestly, Ifm still not confident I can fill it all up properly...

After wandering around Tobichi and browsing the Hobonichi online store for a while, I started to realize that maybe plain notebooks suit me better. Therefs such an ease and comfort in being able to write whatever you want, whenever you want without any rules, or pressure. So next year, Ifll try using a plain notebook like a planner—writing diaries, collecting memories, and letting it all flow freely.

My pick for next year
Hobonichi Blank Notebook [A5 Size]

Itfs made with Tomoe River paper and opens perfectly flat. Since I plan to write a lot, I went with the A5 size. I'll jot down my schedule and appointments in a Weeks.

My choice of Weeks
Makoto Matsubayashi gDoth [Weeks / Japanese Edition]

These dots are actually painted with real paint—each one slightly different in shape and texture. Theyfre so pleasant to look at.

Blank Notebook + Weeks.
It may be an unusual combo, but I think this might be the setup I can actually stick with. With the notebooks decided, it was time to choose a cover.
And this time, I wanted something bold. A color that lifts my mood just by holding it. So naturally—neon pink!

The cover I chose
Makoto Matsubayashi gPink Flowersh [Cousin Size (A5)]

Ifve been in love with this design since the moment I laid eyes on it. And when I paired it with the Blank Notebook...

Itfs perfect. So inspiring.
Makes me want to write—to express myself—all in one place.
And when I add the Weeks...

The neon pink and black-with-white-dot combo pair beautifully! When I make time to write and record, I feel like time itself slows down a little.
Maybe how I spend my days will start to shift, and life might just get a bit more interesting.
To make things even more cheerful, I also picked up another item from the collab with Makoto Matsubayashi.

This one!
Makoto Matsubayashi: Postcard Set

Ifm thinking of using them like this:
•Stick one on the first page of my plain notebook
•Or pop a stamp on one and send it to a friend who loves dots and flowers with a little gWhat's up?h

And finally, I added one more favorite stationery item.

PLUS ~ Hobonichi Deco Rush - One Pieceh

This Deco Rush tape prints out all kinds of gDon!!h sound effects.

When Ifve worked hard or want to say gYES!h or gGood job!h, Ifll add a little gDon!!h next to my diary entries or notes.
Herefs a little test use:

Next year, I hope to get more comfortable with writing—so that the year after, I can finally use the Cousin English Edition with confidence.

Thatfs all for my Techo Kaigi report.
I wonder whose setup wefll see tomorrow?

[Techo Kaigi 2026] Next yearfs the year I master the techo!

Hello, Ifm Aizawa from the Techo team.

Today itfs my turn for Techo Kaigi, so Ifll be introducing the techo and stationery I picked for 2026.
Here they are—ta-da!

Ifve gone simple for 2026.
Hobonichi Techo 2026 Japanese Original Book [A6 Size / Daily / Jan start / Mon Start]
Tolight: Garden of Botany [A6 Original Size]
Kyohei Sakaguchi: En Route to Kumamoto Port at Dawn [Weeks]
TSUKI no IRO: Add-on Sticky Notes
Hobonichi Pencil Board (Ice Gray x Yellow) [A6 Size]

---------------

Ifve always admired people who can use multiple techos...

Since there are so many members of the Techo team who use multiple planners so beautifully, I felt inspired to do the same! So for 2025, I bought a total of four planners and notebooks.
And the results...

•5-Year Techo (Diary): Wrote sometimes, skipped sometimes
•Weeks (Reading Log): Completely blank
•Weeks (Food Log): Kept it up for one month, then gave up
•Plain Notebook (Work Notes): Used off and on

Embarrassingly, I didnft manage to keep up with any of them.

But in last years Techo News, I wrote: gIf I manage to stick to my plans, Ifll be reading a book every week and packing lunch every day? I might even become a completely different person by next year!h
And surprisingly, other than during my busiest work periods, I actually did read one book a week—and since September, Ifve been making lunch almost every day. Itfs funny, even though I wasnft writing in my techo, I still managed to make those things happen.
---------------
How I'll use my techo in 2026

¡ For work
Original (A6) + Tolight: Botanical Garden

To be honest, I usually take notes for work on my computer, so I thought, gMaybe I donft need a planner for work.h
But during our Techo team meetings, everyone always has their techo open—and I found myself wanting one too.
Plus, I really wanted to use Tolightfs new cover!

ª If you look closely, you can see a plaid pattern made up of different colored threads. I especially love the purple ones!

ª Ifve been using the Cousin (A5) until now, but for 2026, Ifll try the Original (A6) for the first time. With the Add-on Sticky Notes, I wonft have to worry about running out of space!

¡ Reading Log
Kyohei Sakaguchi: En Route to Kumamoto Port at Dawn

I plan to use this Weeks to record the books Ifve read—though honestly, Ifm not sure Ifll manage to use it consistently.
But thatfs okay!

I fell in love with this cover at first sight and just had to have it. Even if I donft end up using it much, Ifll display it at home where I can always see it.

ª I really love these clouds—their pinkish-orange color almost looks three-dimensional, even though itfs just printed!

¡ Diary
5-Year Techo (continued)

I havenft written a single entry this month. I keep thinking, gI want to start again!h—but once you lose the habit, itfs surprisingly hard to get back into it.

Just then, a powerful ally appeared: the Hobonichi Techo App! It has a super handy feature called Memory Print, which lets you print photos perfectly sized for your techo.
*Available with the Premium Plan only.

I tried printing both the 20~17mm and 29~22mm sizes.

20~17mm looks like this—it fits perfectly under the date!

29~22mm looks like this.

You could stick it to the right-hand side, but I thought it might be nice to use the space under the date for a diary title, and write the entry next to the photo. I have a feeling this might help me keep up with my techo again!

In 2025, I managed to read books and make lunches, so in 2026 Ifm sure Ifll get the hang of the Hobonichi Techo App and write in my techo every day. Then I can finally hold my head high as a true member of the Techo team! If youfre like me and struggle to keep a planner going, please try the app.

On the official Hobonichi Techo YouTube channel, Chizuru and Airi introduce fun ways to make the most of Memory Print. Please check it out!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
Somewhat blue, somewhat nostalgic.

Hello, Ifm Asako from the techo team.
Here are the techos Ifll be using in 2026!

Somehow, they all ended up blue.

It wasnft intentional—I didnft plan to make them all the same color.
In fact, I didnft even hold my own Techo Kaigi this time. The moment I first saw each one, I already knew I was going to buy it. It was love at first sight.
This might be the first time Ifve ever decided so quickly.

Let me introduce them one by one.

- - - - - - - - - -

For work: The Little House [HON (A5)]

Why I chose this design

The Little House was a picture book I treasured as a child. Its illustrations, colors, and story all felt different from the others I read—more grown-up somehow.
I remember feeling happy; it was as if I was reading a book for adults, and when I saw that a techo had been made to look just like that book, my heart skipped a beat.

Look at the front cover—

The spine—

And even the back!

Every detail feels so real—down to the touch. Even that smooth, glossy texture is the same. It looks almost identical to the original book, but with g2026h printed in a cute, glinting font. That little detail makes it feel like a special book just for this year, and I canft help but get excited.

I wasnft sure about the size at first, but I loved how the A5 felt like a slightly shrunken version of the picture book—so thatfs the one I chose.

£By the way, even the inside cover of the original picture book is adorable!

My first A5 HON — how should I use it?

Once Ifd chosen the techo based purely on its look and feel, I had to face the next question: gHow should I use it?h
I want to spend as much time with this techo as possible, so Ifd decided early on to use it for work. But this year, my work techo is a Weeks Mega, not a page-per-day type.

£From the Weeks Mega on the left, to the HON on the right!

Looking back at how my techos have changed over the years:
Two years ago —I used a Weeks + Original combo because: gI want to manage my tasks by week! (Itfs annoying to rewrite unfinished to-dos the next day.)h and gBut still want to take proper notes!h
«
I learned that carrying two books to the office doesnft suit someone lazy like me.
«
So this year, I switched to the Weeks Mega, which lets me keep both my to-do list and notes in one place.

£One of this yearfs to-do pages.

Ifve gotten used to listing my tasks on the weekly pages. Itfs easy to write and Ifve come to like it, so am hesitant to change—but then I realized something.

For me, itfs easier to look back on work notes when theyfre tied to a specific date.

In the Weeks Mega, the memo space on the right wasnft enough, so I often wrote in its additional graph pages at the back.
But I found myself frequently thinking, gWhat was that thing we discussed back then?h and needing to flip through my notes to find it.

Compared to when I used a page-per-day techo, it took me much longer to locate what I was looking for.

Itfs kind of like rereading your favorite part of a book—you can find that scene by instinct, just from the feel of the pages, right?
Itfs the same with techo notes: when I want to revisit something I wrote garound that time,h I think I rely on that same kind of muscle memory.

So I figured this might be a good opportunity to try using a page-per-day techo again.

- - - - - - - - - -

And when I thought about it more carefully, I realized that the A5 HON has the same contents as the Cousin—which means it includes weekly pages, too!
Which solves my other issue of wanting space for weekly to-dos.

£I ran a simulation using tracing paper. It feels like itfs going to work well! Now Ifm just debating whether to write in English or Japanese.

Itfs been a long time since I last used an A5 techo for work, but just like how I once felt a little more grown-up reading The Little House as a child, I think this techo will help me spend the year feeling a little more like my best self.
Ifm already looking forward to it.

For personal use: Our Tamagotchi [Weeks]

Tamagotchi is another thing I loved when I was little (especially Kuchipatchi). This cover's made of tie fabric, and the characters are lined up in such a charming, slightly offbeat way that I couldnft resist—I bought it right away.

£It even comes with cute stickers! That made me happy. £Each item in the Bow & Tie series has a unique pattern layout. I bought mine from the Hobonichi online store, and when I opened it, I found Kuchipatchi peeking out right next to g2026!h

For daily notes

I already use a 5-Year Techo for my diary, but I tend to fill up each dayfs space. I don't currently have a place to keep things I wanted to remember—like bits I read in books or online—so I thought Ifd try using this Tamagotchi Weeks for that.

£Something like this, maybe?

The space per day seems just right for jotting things down, so I think itfll be a perfect fit.

- - - - - - - - - -

That was my (very long) Techo Kaigi 2026!
Thanks for sticking with me to the end.
Therefll be another update tomorrow?please look forward to it!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
My 2026 picks are these three!

Hello, Ifm Ayagi from the Hobonichi Techo team.
After holding several Techo Kaigi since the 2026 lineup was announced, Ifve finally made up my mind!
Ifd like to use these three techos in 2026.

Isnft the time spent thinking about which techo to use part of the fun?

I held my Techo Kaigi in my techo.

You can find my Techo Kaigi on YouTube too. Please check it out if you want to see how I made the page above.

Techo 1: Personal use / Scrap journal
I started this gscrap journalh style in 2024, where I simply stick in all sorts of things.

It can be shop cards, pamphlets, chopstick sleeves—anything flat I pick up while Ifm out.
When I look back on it, it feels like my scraps bloom into memories, which makes me really happy. Only, your techo does end up quite chunky, so I recommend using an Avec.

I think I'll continue this habit in 2026, with the Kyohei Sakaguchi cover.

Ifd like to gaze at it the same way you zone out while looking up at the sky.

Techo 2: For work

This is the one I use for jotting down work notes and organizing my to-dos. In 2025 I used a Cousin techo, but next year I plan to scale down to the more compact Original. Ifll pair it with the Letter cover! I love the string you can wrap around.

Ifm already looking forward to carrying it with me!

Techo 3: My on-the-go memo techo
I started this one in 2025. Itfs for jotting down anything that pops into my head. I found out that looking back on it later is surprisingly fun.

I carry a mini set of colored pencils with me, too.

I make note of things like: an outfit I noticed on the street, random thoughts, or something about my cat.
Even things that donft seem important at the time often turn out to be interesting later on — I really recommend it!
For 2026, I plan to make things even more compact by pairing a Weeks with a Tragen cover for extra storage. (Though I havenft decided which Weeks yet...)

I want to keep my pen and small bits together!

Thatfs it for my Techo Kaigi 2026!
Thanks for reading, and please look forward to tomorrowfs post from another member.

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
More techos every year.

Hello! My name is Wenlai, and Ifm one of the people in charge of managing the Hobonichi Techo online store.
Todayfs theme, gWhich techo and stationery will I be using in 2026?h, is a tough one—there are just so many to choose from!

The techos Ifve picked are mostly in calm, neutral colors. Among them, Yumi Kitagishifs stationery really stands out vividly. Ifm the type who buys stationery on impulse without thinking too much—I figure out how to use it later.

This year I've paired the MOTHER Weeks with the Clear Cover "Stripes".

Theyfre vertical stripes, but don't they remind you of the scanning lines on an old CRT TV? Combined with the monochrome cover, it feels so nostalgic.
Ness and the gang are a little hidden, but thatfs fine.

Ifve put a Day-Free inside the Cousin-size Letter cover. Itfs thinner and softer than I expected! The string clasp that wraps around like an envelope keeps the content nice and snug. I love designs where you can feel the craftsmanship. I think Ifll attach the embroidered white cat bookmark here.

White cat, dingle dangle. So cute.

Actually, Ifve been using more and more techos each year.
I started using the Hobonichi Techo in 2023, from right around the time I joined the company. I began using an Avec Book 2 (Jul-Dec) in an Original-sized cover.

2023: 1 techo

The cover features tile art of Mr. Saturn—the red accents are lovely.

I used it as a diary, writing roughly with a fountain pen. You could say my handwriting looked pretty rugged.

2024: 2 techos

In 2024, I started using the Weeks. I came across it at Loft one day, and was struck by how delicate Tomitaro Makinofs illustrations were. I bought it on the spot—total cover love at first sight.

In the bottom left, I would jot down English and Chinese phrases Ifd recently learned.

The Weeks is the perfect size to carry everywhere and take quick notes. I also paste stickers and paper bits—like tickets or fortunes. I write down small things from conversations that made me happy or moments I want to remember.

2025: 3 techos

Now itfs 2025, and Ifm using three techos. This year, I added a Day-Free—a Christmas gift from Santa (it's true!).

I donft have any specific rules for how I use the Day-Free. I just keep it on my desk, and pick it up whenever I feel like writing something. I use it to organize my progress on goals, write poems, or jot down my thoughts on a movie. Itfs a bit of a luxury time for me.

So for 2026, Ifm planning to keep using three techos.
But if that number goes up... well, it goes up. Ifm sure Ifll find something to use it for.
After all, I really do enjoy writing.

Well then!
Please look forward to tomorrowfs Techo Kaigi update, too!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
Won by unanimous decision... because rabbits!

Hello, Ifm Kawabata. I create content and handle the newsletter for the Hobonichi Techo team.
Welcome to my own Techo Kaigi!
I went back and forth between Tobichi and the Hobonichi Online Store to decide which techo to use for next year, and Ifve finally made up my mind!

Our sleepy old rabbit kindly modeled for the photoshoot. Isnft he adorable?!

The reason I chose the Bow & Tie: In the Forest HON? Because therefs a rabbit on the cover!

The Bow & Tie series uses real necktie fabric, with the motifs woven into the material. Youfll find rabbits, squirrels, owls, and even tree stumps. (My own bunny, who was half-asleep earlier, suddenly perked up!)

I did hold a little gTecho Kaigih in my head, but the result was unanimous, gIf you own a rabbit, you have to pick In the Forest!h, My bunnyfs fur may be a different color, but I love how realistic this design looks.

The Bow & Tie series is special in that each cover has a slightly different pattern layout. When I stopped by Tobichi, there were two on display, so I picked the one where I liked the rabbitfs placement the best.

I plan to carry it around in a Tragen: Flat Pouch along with some stationery.

***

Now for a little reflection.
This year, I gave using both the Weeks and Day-Free a challenge, but I never quite got the hang of them.

Ifve always admired people who use the Weeks so efficiently, so I gave it a try — but I got too caught up in trying to fit all my notes neatly into each weekly spread, and ended up feeling restricted, which threw off my writing rhythm.

Herefs one of the days I took diligent notes from a meeting with Itoi.

As for the Day-Free, I had planned to use it to paste in packages and wrappers I liked... but they just kept piling up in an empty box instead!
I realized that using multiple planners at once is still a bit of a challenge for me.
So for 2026, Ifm going back to basics with a HON, one page per day! Ifve used it before, so it feels like returning to my roots. Ifll write work notes and ideas in my techo, and record my daily happenings in the Hobonichi Techo App.

Sometimes gSenpai,h the friendly in-app guide, even leaves the perfect comment on my photos!

I may have given up pasting wrappers into my techo, but now I can just take a photo and record it in the app!

The Hobonichi Techo App automatically gathers your daily travel routes and photos, so keeping a record feels effortless. And gSenpai,h the guide who comments on what you post, is just so funny that I find myself thinking, gHey Senpai, look at this!h whenever I upload a photo.

I canft wait to look back on it a year from now!

Thanks to the Hobonichi Techo App, Ifve built a new daily habit that I have a feeling will make 2026 a lot more fun!
Thank you for joining me for my Techo Kaigi and reflections!
Please look forward to tomorrowfs Techo News too!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
2026 - The Year of Moomin!

Hello, Ifm Iwasawa from the Techo team.
In this series, our team members share the planners and stationery we plan to use in 2026.
Today, itfs my turn to introduce mine!
Here are the planners and stationery Ifll be spending 2026 with. Ta-da!

For work, Ifll continue using the HON and Weeks, and for my personal life, the Cousin Avec.
(Ifm also entering my second year with the 5-Year Techo!)
When choosing my designs, my theme was: gThings Ifve always loved, with a sense of calm.h

First up is Moomin. Ifve always loved the richness of the Moomin world. It's filled with characters of many personalities and emotions, the bravery and kindness of Moomintroll, and the beautiful, delicate line work. Ifve read the books, visited exhibitions, and by the time I was writing the product text, my heart was already set! (Ifm actually the one in charge of writing the product descriptions for our Moomin lineup.)
For my Cousin Avec, I chose the gNight of the Big Partyh cover to use as my personal daily journal.

I canft get enough of this little tail-inspired tassel!

This is my first year using the Cousin, and Ifll admit... I was nervous at first. gItfs so big... will I really be able to use it?h But once I started, I found it incredibly freeing! I can paste in so much, add little notes, and fill the pages with a yearfs worth of happiness. Its flexibility and capacity really won me over, so Ifll definitely be using it again next year.

I can depend on the trusty Cousin to paste lots of things!

Since I keep it at home, its size and weight arenft an issue. (It does get thicker as I paste things in, so the Avec is just right.) And I love the idea of being able to enjoy the Moomin artwork in a larger size throughout the year!

For work scheduling and to-do management, Ifll also be using another Moomin item, the gTo the Outdoor Dance Hallh Weeks.

The card is so cute, Ifll be sure to keep it safe!

I say this every year, but the weekly layout really is perfect for managing my tasks. I track events and interviews on the monthly calendar and the left-hand column of the weekly pages, while using the right side to work through my daily to-dos. Itfs such an easy system to use that I honestly canft imagine changing it anytime soon.

How many years has it been now? This way of using the Weeks just feels right.

And as for the gTo the Outdoor Dance Hallh design, I just love the round little shapes of the charactersf behinds! That soft curve is what makes Moomins so endearing, donft you think? The pale blue background and light orange spine are also such beautiful colors. Ifm really looking forward to spending my workdays in 2026 with Moomin by my side.

Ah, and of course, I couldnft resist picking up some Moomin stationery too. Ifve actually already started using some of it in my current techo. Herefs how Ifve been using the Deco Rush tapes:

I bought them in September but was so excited I ended up decorating my August pages!

There are two kinds of Moomin Deco Rush. I use the Hattifatteners for multi-day events, and Little My to mark special single-day plans. The way the Hattifatteners wriggle across the page just makes me happy. I find myself thinking, gCome on, long-term plans... bring them on!h Ifm a little worried Ifll run out soon... maybe I should start stockpiling?

Alongside my Weeks, Ifll also be using a HON (A6) Slash in Navy for work. To be honest, this was the item I debated over the most.
When I appeared on the Hobonichi Techo pre-release live video on YouTube, I was still unsure. Should I go with the Hiroko Kubota design, One Piece, or give up on a HON altogether and use the Moomin Graph Notebook?
After much inner Techo Kaigi of my own, I finally decided on... none of them! I chose the Slash (Navy) HON.

While I was still deciding, I worked on this 1 Question, 3 Answers article and spoke with Airi , who uses two Slash HONs herself.
She said, gI like how simple the Slash design is. It doesnft distract me when Ifm working.h That really clicked for me.
When I finally held it in my hands, I felt a kind of calm, as if I was returning to the simplicity of when I first started using a techo. Ifm truly looking forward to using it every day in 2026.
Because itfs so simple, Ifm also excited about decorating it with stickers and making it my own.
(Though... that might end up being a distraction after all!)

And thatfs my 2026 lineup!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
I want to use every single page of my Cousin!

Hello, Ifm Mizunoya from the Hobonichi Techo team.
Has everyone decided on their 2026 techo yet?
Ifm actually using six different ones (!) this year, but Ifd be lying if I said I was keeping up with them all. Even within one book, there are pages I havenft touched, and itfs been bugging me. To shake off that lingering frustration, I decided to make next yearfs theme: Use every page of the Cousin!
Let me introduce the techo and stationery Ifm planning to use in 2026.

For personal things:
Tolight: Garden of Botany [A5 Cousin Size]

In 2025, I used the Weeks as a life log, but next year Ifll be recording everything in my Cousin. Herefs what Ifm thinking for each section so far:
Yearly Index: Habit Tracker
Monthly Calendar: Illustrated Diary (tentative)
Weekly Diary: Life Log
Daily Pages: Morning Pages or Input Log
Bonus Pages: Still deciding
My goal is to make full use of every page to let my Cousin hold everything personal to me.
I fell in love with the Garden of Botany cover at first sight. Ifve always loved check patterns, and the bright floral print layered on top was just perfect. It was the first one that caught my eye, so I knew it had to be this one!

Drama Techo:
Moomin: Hobonichi Graph Notebook (A5)

Ifve been keeping a drama log in a Day-Free, but when I noticed that the cover of this Moomin notebook shows Moominpappa struggling over a playfs script, I thought g... this couldnft be more perfect for a drama techo!h
In the Day-Free, I used the monthly calendar to jot down show titles and air dates, but with the graph notebook, Ifll list all the titles and episode numbers on the first page, then color them in as I go.

Thanks to the Add-On Sticky Notes I can plan my use cases.

On the following pages, Ifll draw each dramafs title logo and record my impressions. With the release of the Hobonichi Techo App (available in Japan since October 15), I now jot down my thoughts right after watching an episode. By tagging each entry with the dramafs title, itfs easy to look back later when transferring notes into my techo.

^How I use it at the moment. I write my thoughts once a week.

For Work: Makoto Matsubayashi: Dot [Weeks] + Tragen: Mustard

Isnft this combination just adorable? Ever since seeing it for the first time, I havenft been able to get it out of my head. Even now, every time I set eyes on it, my heart skips a beat.
I used a Cousin for work in 2025 but couldnft quite make full use of it, so this year Ifm switching to the Weeks.
Ifll write my to-dos on the left side of the weekly spread and use the right side for meeting notes. I also plan to jot down notes from Hobonichi School talks and Itoi-sanfs conversations here.
Ifve realized itfs easier to look back when I keep those notes in one place instead of separating them by date.

Undecided: Hiroko Kubota: Waiting on the Chord HON [A6 Size]

The design and the name are just too lovely, so Ifm looking for any reason to bring it home. Maybe glove at first sighth is reason enough?

Diary:
Large Hobonichi 5-Year Techo (2nd Year)

Next year will be my second year using the 5-Year Techo. Ifm thinking of changing pen ink colors each year, and Ifm still deciding which one to choose next.

Stationery

After watching this YouTube video where Annen and Shimida introduced TSUKI no IRO, I wanted everything... but I started with these sticky notes.
(An English alternative version can be found here.)

The Guide & Shape Sticky Notes are perfect for leaving a quick message, like gGot it!h or gConfirmed!h, they're cute which is a plus and are already tucked inside my work techo.
The Add-On Sticky Notes are essential for my drama techo. Sometimes my thoughts wonft fit on the page, or I misplace a title logo, these come to the rescue every time.
The Happy Ice Cream Deco Rush is just full of cute ice creams with about three times more varieties than I expected!

In this YouTube video, one of our team members holds their own Techo Kaigi using their techo, so please check it out!
And be sure to come back tomorrow for another memberfs Techo Kaigi!

[Techo Kaigi 2026]
Maybe itfs basic, but thatfs why I struggle.

Hello, Ifm Yoshida.
Welcome to my very much ongoing Techo Kaigi.
Ifm an April-start user, after all.
Yesterday, Hirano introduced the techo he picked on Techo News and ended his post saying,
gTomorrow, another crew member from the Hobonichi Techo team will share their own Techo Kaigi.
I canft wait to see what theyfve chosen ? stay tuned!!h
...Well, um, I havenft decided yet!
Sorry... but itfs only just getting started!
Ifm part of the production team for the Hobonichi Techo, and since the April-start editions line up better with our schedule, Ifve always gone with those.
So thatfs probably what Ifll pick again this time.
Now that thatfs out of the way, let me tell you what Ifve been thinking about.

Weeks
An endless loop of Thatfs so cute... So stylish... I want it!
Ifm drawn to the blue-toned Weeks covers.
The gradation in Kyohei Sakaguchifs En Route to Kumamoto Port at Dawn is just beautiful.
The notebook with the same design is lovely too.
Ifm still not sure if Ifll be able to make full use of it, but the Weeks feels light and approachable, so Ifm thinking about how I might use it.

I carry my current Weeks with me when I travel, to jot down itineraries or stick in tickets from museums and trains.
Ifm still torn about whether to combine work and personal notes into one, but I think Ifll keep using the Weeks next year too!

Planner
I havenft used this one yet, but itfs so simple and cool.
A lot of the Techo Team members use it, and Ifd love to try it out myself.
When Ifm reading, I often jot down thoughts or lines I like on my phone.
Since I usually read while commuting, Ifve been thinking of first saving them quickly in the Hobonichi Techo App, then later transferring them into the Planner.
With the app, I could even snap a photo of the page and save it with my notes and comments.

Cousin
This is my usual work techo.
I often have to take notes quickly during meetings or interviews, so I love that the Cousinfs large size makes it stable and easy to write in.
My scribbles are so rushed that I sometimes canft even read them later (haha).
One of the reasons I use the Cousin is because I enjoy picking a cover.
But right now, Ifm eyeing the HON Slash (Navy).

Ifve always liked basic designs.
Maybe itfs because I admire people who use simple, well-made things for a long time.
When I first started working, one of my senior colleagues used the same black techo every year... I thought that was so cool.
For me, the techo might be something that brings me a little closer to that kind of adulthood.
Cousin or HON Slash...
I just canft decide.
I almost want to ask for your advice!

I havenft decided on my techo yet,
but I did pick up the Clear Brown Drawer Pouch.
Itfs exactly what Ifve been looking for!
Ifd wanted something water-resistant that I could keep by the sink, so the moment I saw it, I knew I had to get it.
I think Ifll use it as a makeup pouch.

My Techo Kaigi will probably keep going until the spring lineup is released.
Until then, please look forward to tomorrowfs Techo News!
