When creating clothing and handbags, minä perhonen saves each and every leftover piece of their textiles so they don't go to waste, as every textile is specially dyed, embroidered and woven with original designs. Each "piece," techo cover is made with 9 different varieties of these patches cut from a different spot in the original textile, giving every cover an entirely unique look. The patches include a wide variety of textures, such as embroidery and raised threads, for a soft, three-dimensional mix you can't keep your hands off of. We hope you enjoy the harmonious blend of textiles and colors in this spring edition of "piece," which includes designs of blooming flowers, fluttering butterflies and birds, and other refreshing images of springtime.

All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances

Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but as these products are hand-made, covers are not made as exact copies.

No outer pocket

This cover does not contain an outer pocket.

Sharp objects may unravel threads

Embroidery threads protrude from the material, so please be careful not to catch sharp items such as a pen tip under them as they may unravel.

Lace bookmarks may contain frays

The bookmarks of this cover use original mina perhonen lace straps. If you see any loose threads, we recommend refraining from pulling on it and instead tucking it between other woven threads.

Patchwork patterns vary by cover

The textiles comprising the patchwork design differ by design and location for each cover. Please understand the random nature of the design before ordering.

Avoid using with Cover on Cover

This cover uses thicker materials than usual, so a Cover on Cover may not fit. Forcing it in may damage the products.

Sliding no-slip pens into the pen holder

Pens with rubber, non-slip grips may be difficult to slide into the pen holder.

Maximum pen width of 13.5mm for pen holder

The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2mm (0.48") diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Japanese-version Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5mm (0.53") in diameter.

Inquiries about the minä perhonen collaboration covers

These Hobonichi Techo cover designs were directed by minä perhonen, but produced by Hobonichi. Inquiries about these covers cannot be answered at minä perhonen shop locations, so please contact the Hobonichi Store with any questions or concerns.

Correct: 昔の人は、草木に降りた露が (Long ago, people saw the dew on the plants...)
