This cover features a bright checkered design reminiscent of colorful gummies dotted with butterflies. It's a pattern that greatly represents the playful, naive style of minä perhonen with its painstaking process of overlayering 9 layers of ink for an inviting, handmade feel. The minä perhonen butterfly on the leather handle finishes the look with a charming accent.

All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances

Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but as these products are hand-made, covers are not made as exact copies.

Pattern squares may vary in size

The material of the cover exterior is soft and may become slightly stretched or sagging during production, resulting in uneven or tilted alignment.

Design may contain smudges or uneven coloring

During the print process, patterns may contain spots where the color has become smudged or uneven.

No outer pocket

This cover does not contain an outer pocket.

Color may vary slightly between cover and pockets

The material for the pockets is printed or dyed separately and later sewn onto the cover. While colors are designed to be consistent across the entire cover, the shade of the pockets may vary slightly from the rest of the cover.

Overstuffing the cover may result in tearing or damage

This cover is designed to store tools, documents, and other stationary together with the planner book. Attempts to close the cover when it contains too many items may damage the fasteners or material. Please avoid storing more than the cover can hold.

Sharp objects may unravel threads

Embroidery threads protrude from the material, so please be careful not to catch sharp items such as a pen tip under them as they may unravel.

Sliding no-slip pens into the pen holder

Pens with rubber, non-slip grips may be difficult to slide into the pen holder.

Maximum pen width of 13.5mm for pen holder

The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2mm (0.48") diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Japanese-version Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5mm (0.53") in diameter.

Inquiries about the minä perhonen collaboration covers

These Hobonichi Techo cover designs were directed by minä perhonen, but produced by Hobonichi. Inquiries about these covers cannot be answered at minä perhonen shop locations, so please contact the Hobonichi Store with any questions or concerns.

Exterior cover contains natural material that may include naps

The all-natural cotton may contain naps in the fabric. We ask for your understanding of the nature of the material.
