Does Weeks Mega fit into the Weeks Covers?

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether or not the new Hobonichi Techo Weeks Mega would fit into the Weeks covers. Being the thicker version of Weeks, with three times as many blank graph paper pages at the back, will it fit into the covers…?

Since each cover type is a different size, how snugly it fits the Mega is inevitably different. To resolve any ambiguity on the “fit,” we’ve taken pictures of each of the Weeks cover including the Clear Cover housing the Weeks Mega. See them for yourself to choose which one you’d like.

Note: We recommend inserting only the back cover of the book into the Weeks covers, except for the Clear Covers, into which you should insert both the front and back covers

After testing several Clear Covers on the Mega Weeks books, we posted an article on August 29, 2017 demonstrating that the Hobonichi Techo Mega Weeks will fit into all Weeks covers.

However, we have since received messages from customers stating that the Clear Cover is too tight on the Weeks Mega. After receiving these messages, we tested more Clear Covers and realized that in some instances, the cover is indeed too tight. We apologize for this oversight in our initial testing.

The Clear Covers are already designed to be slightly larger than the standard Weeks books, so while they can be used on the Weeks Mega, it will be a tight fit. Because each product has slight variances in size, some size combinations of the Weeks books and Clear Covers may result in an uncomfortably tight fit or cause the front cover of the Weeks book to stick up. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

If you bought the Weeks Mega and Clear Cover products together as a result of seeing our original article and your cover does not fit, feel free to contact us at store@1101.com.

While the cover fits Weeks Mega without any issue, the originally compact-fit design leaves the cover slightly open when you insert the Hobonichi Techo Exclusives pen with the book. To resolve this, simply use a thinner pen. The Passport covers from 2017 has an equal fit as the size remained the same in 2018.
