Children’s book author Shinsuke Yoshitake has created many cute and funny books, including the award-winning book It Might be an Apple.

Yoshitake also illustrated the mini 2018 Hobonichi Techo user manual that comes with the planner book.

We collaborated with Shinsuke Yoshitake to create this 2018 Hobonichi Techo Spring edition design for A6 and A5 covers.

It’s called “A Perfect Day for Picnic Blankets.

All kinds of people are laying on picnic blankets on a grassy lawn. You can spot all kinds of activity if you look over the drawing. It’s fun, amusing, cute, and cheerful — the perfect medicine for days when things are really hectic. Just looking at this cover is sure to bring you back down to earth and cheer you up.

But that’s not all! We’ve got even more Shinsuke Yoshitake items for you to enjoy.

Shinsuke Yoshitake was kind enough to create these additional items for users to enjoy when paired with their Hobonichi Techos.

This pencil board comes in three sizes for the Hobonichi Techo: A6 Original, A5 Cousin, and Weeks.

The double-sided design features cute drawings clearly labeled YES and NO so you can use it to quietly express yourself to others in those times you find it hard to speak up. Of course, it works quite well as a pencil board, too.

Place the pencil board beneath the page you’re writing on to make it easy to write with a pen without leaving impressions on the paper beneath. The background of the illustration has 5 mm graph lines and a ruler on one side divided into millimeters. The top corner tab of the pencil board also sticks out to act as a bookmark when stored in-between pages.

These transparent-back stickers fit nicely into the day squares of the Hobonichi Techo monthly calendar.
