The 2018-edition calendar features larger squares and bolder numbers to make it easier to see from a distance.



The artwork for this year’s monthly numbers is by painter Mitsuhiko Sasao, who also designed the artwork featured on a Hobonichi Techo cover this year. The artistic numbers in this calendar were originally painted onto a canvas using oil paint.



When purchased in the Hobonichi Store, the calendar comes with a Memo Pit modeled after Sasao’s paintings and sculptures. The Memo Pit is a reusable, double-sided adhesive strip that makes it easy to stick and unstick memos to various surfaces, turning any paper into a sticky note.
