This cover is part of the TS series, a collection of covers produced in collaboration with graphic designer Taku Satoh, who also designed the Techo book. The 2018 cover exudes poise, not least due to its use of Butler, a choice cow leather.

Butler is a strikingly textured leather fabricated by vegetable tanning of raw hides originating in North America. This classical method, based on the slow passage of time, gives the leather its dramatic look and refined grain. The more you use this naturally made cover, the more it acquires a character of its own.

Whatever age or gender you may be, this wrinkled, nuanced black leather is sure to give you another dimension. Enjoy the rich history and the craftsmanship infused in the cover.

Each cover is one of a kind, with considerable variance in the surface pattern. Delight in the dynamic patterns, each uniquely different in size and depth.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.

All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances: Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks: In order to allow customers the enjoyment of all-natural leather, the leather is processed in a way that retains its original feel. This may leave imperfections visible on the surface of the cover, such as wrinkles, scratches, stains, or vein marks.
Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.
Leather coloring stains: Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands.
Each leather product has a unique look: This product uses leather that retains a great deal of unique characteristics. The leather will appear different depending on which area from which it was cut, so your product will not look exactly the same as that pictured on the product page.
Immediately dry the product if it gets wet: Immediately dab the product with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid
drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated
place in the shade.
Avoid storing in hot and humid places: Please avoid storing your cover in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower product quality and color stains. Please use caution when storing.
Sliding no-slip pens into the pen holder: Pens with rubber, non-slip grips may be difficult to slide into the pen holder.
Maximum pen width of 13.5mm for pen holder: The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Japanese-version Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5mm (0.53”) in diameter.
Not for use with Cover on Cover: The PVC plastic of the Cover on Cover contains plasticizer additives which may cause a reaction in the leather dye and affect the color and quality of the leather cover. Please refrain from using the Cover on Cover with this product.
Color may vary slightly based on viewing screen: The color of the product may be slightly different in actuality than compared to how it appeared on a computer or smartphone screen.
Interior of cover may be loose: The interior of the cover may not be perfectly taut due to limitations during the manufacturing process.
Leather appearance varies per item: This product uses leather with unique characteristics that vary depending on where each piece of leather is cut from. The product you receive will look slightly different from the photos on the product page photos, especially the card pockets.
