For a while I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use it, but once I put my flower-arranging shears in the mesh pocket and secured them in the elastic band, I filled out the rest of the pouch with my flower-arrangement tools. It’s been a lifesaver. I store my shears, a folding pruning saw, pens, string, and wire so I can keep everything together for classes and exhibitions.

I use the Small Drawer Pouch to store my games and accessories. I’ve got a Nintendo DS stored on one side, and in the mesh pockets I keep small items like game cartridges and earbuds.

I keep my cat’s hairbrush, toys, treats, animal-hospital card, and insurance card in the pouch. Opening the zipper all the way lets me lay it all flat on the table, just like my techo, so it’s easy to find what I’m looking for.

This allows me to keep everything I need close at hand when I knit, so I keep my pouch in the basket I use to store my ongoing knitting projects. As you can see in the picture, the needles are too tall for the pouch, so I can’t close the zipper all the way. But I don’t carry the pouch around, and I prefer having one that I can lay flat to see everything at once, so I just use it this way.

I use a fountain pen for my Hobonichi Techo. I keep about twenty fountain pens in my Small Drawer Pouch, and when I open it up I only take out the one I’d like to use on that particular day.

I store all my art tools and paints in the pouch so I can carry them around and paint wherever I want. To me, it’s not just a stationery holder—it feels like a protective charm. I also keep a bookmark in the outer pocket so that I can grab it with one hand and don’t have to put my book down to get it.

I use the pouch to store everything I need for my iPhone, like cords and batteries for my charger. All I have to do is partially unzip the pouch and pull out the charging cord, and I can charge my phone.

I’m a systems engineer, and my workplace has unassigned desks for employees to share. Since I can’t settle down in one spot with all my things, I use the Small Drawer Pouch to keep all my desk accessories portable. When I sit down in the morning and open my computer and my Drawer Pouch, I’m all set to go.

I’m often taking the bullet train for business trips. I remember buying a cupcake at the station to eat on the train, only to find out—to my horror—that there weren’t any utensils in the bag. Ever since then I’ve kept a fork, a spoon, some disposable chopsticks, and a wet wipe tucked in the mesh pocket. I use them more than you’d think.

I love pouches, and I’m actually using three Small Drawer Pouches now. One is for organizing smaller items in my carrying bag, like personal-care items, spare cash, and charging cables. The second one is for work, and I leave it at my desk. The third one keeps my Hobonichi Techo Weeks, stationery, and omamori all in one place.

The left pockets store flat items, while the right mesh pocket can store bulky, unwieldy items, which you can secure with the elastic band inside. Pouchers seem to have mastered organizing their personal items with the pouch, keeping things assigned to specific pockets. That’s definitely one of the appeals of the Small Drawer Pouch. The small size also helps pouchers by limiting what they can carry to what fits inside, keeping everything compact and easy to carry.
