How to place an order

If you wish to designate your order as a gift, please choose your product from the order form located in each of the product page, and specify the shipping address via Hobonichi Store Note.

We only accept gift dispatch if;
• charged to credit card
• ordered within the domestic boundaries, destination of delivery is specified within the domestic borders.

* There are products that can not be sent as gifts. Please confirm further details in each product's page.

Delivery and packing methods

We pack our products so it would not be damaged along the way and send them with a letter from Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun.
Directions and information regarding the usage of your product will be attached to each product. There are cases where we enclose news and information from Hobonichi Store as well.

However, we do not enclose information that mentions the amount of money such as the invoice of your purchase, but there are times where products such as books, DVDs, that indicate the price. We can not offer you a service to delete price tags, but we will inform you beforehand in the products page, when price tags are printed on the product itself.

In order to identify the sender, we print your name and your address on the sender column of your delivery slip.
In addition, we indicate "Hobonichi Store" on the remarks column so it is clear that the product is from our store.

Estimated shipping date

We will notify you about our estimated shipping date on our sales, distribution page.
Please confirm "Please read before placing an order" since delivery time might vary with what product you are about to order.
Again, you can always refer to Hobonichi Store Note for estimated shipping date. When your order requires time before shipping, we will also notify you via email a detailed delivery schedule as soon as fixed.

Also, depending on the manufacture situation, there might be some changes in shipping date. In that case, we will also send you an email of notification.

We will send customers an email after the product has been shippied out from our delivery center to inform you about the completion of shipping. You can confirm your order's delivery status immediately at Hobonichi Store Note as well. For details, please confirm the information that we have included in the email that we will send you.

About distributing company

We will deliver your order via Yamato Transport CO.,LTD. But sometimes, we change our distribution company for specific products.

Delivery and handling fee

For one order, we charge a flat fare of 630 yen (tax included). Even though you place an order as a gift dispatch, we would not add extra handling charges.

Please note that when you purchase a different product even with a same destination and address, orders each require delivery and handling fee if you wish them to be sent separately.

In addition, we might make changes in delivery and handling fee depending on the product. For details, please refer to "Please read before placing an order" page in the product page, while items are in sales and distribution period.

International gift dispatch orders and international deliveries

We are sorry to say that gift dispatch to abroad and gift dispatch orders placed by customers who live abroad can not be accepted. We apologize for your inconvenience.

Change destination of delivery

If the product has not yet been shipped out from our delivery center, you can always change your destination of your delivery. For details, please visit here.

We are sorry to say that we do not offer wrapping services.

Detailed invoice of your purchase

Detailed invoice of your purchase will not be enclosed in the package. In addition, we do not separately send a detailed invoice to the customer who ordered the product. For your order details, please refer to Hobonichi Store Note, or the notification mail about the completion of shipping that has been sent from us upon your order.
