About Hobonichi Store delivery methods

Hobonichi Store's deliveries of products are mainly handled by consignment with exterior distributing companies which have signed a contract with Tokyo Itoi Shigesato Office K.K.

Please note, depending on the sales method or nature of the product such as food, the product may be wrapped and shipped by the manufacturer.
Also, for products that have a small number of orders or packing procedures, shipping operations may be carried out by Hobonichi staff.

We pack our products so it does not break or get damaged in route and we enclose a letter from Hobonichi. Sometimes we enclose a newsletter from Hobonichi as well.

We want to assure you that your personal information is strictly guarded under a contract among Tokyo Itoi Shigesato Office and distributing companies.

In addition, responsibility for the delivery is on the distributing company at a point where we pass on our product to them.

Shipping schedule of products

We might need a few months until delivery in case of make-to-order products, where we manufacture after we receive an order at the Hobonichi Store.
We announce the estimated shipping date on our product page.

Please confirm "Please read before placing an order" since delivery time might vary with what product you are about to order.
You can always refer to Hobonichi Store Note for estimated shipping date.

When we need time before shipping, we will also notify you via email a detailed delivery schedule as soon as fixed.

Also, depending on the manufacture situation, there might be some changes in delivery time. In that case, we will also send you an email of notification.

After shipping the product from our delivery center, we will send customers an email in the evening to notify about the completion of shipment.

When ordering products that have different shipping date

When ordering products have different shipping dates, the shipment date for your order will be based on the product that has a later shipping date.

If you do not wish your product to be consolidated to a later delivery, please order them separately.

Please be forewarned that if you order your products separately, delivery and handling fee will be charged separately for each product.

Distributing company (domestic only)

We will deliver your order via Yamato Transport CO.,LTD. But sometimes, we change our distribution company for specific products.

Delivery handling fee (domestic only)

For one order, we charge a flat fare of 630 yen (tax included). Please note that when you purchase a different product even with the same destination and address, orders each require delivery and handling fee.

COD handling fee (domestic only)

For one order, we charge a flat fare of 210 yen (tax included). Please note that when you purchase a different product even with the same destination and address, orders each require COD handling fee.

International shipping

Excluding specific areas, we deliver internationally as well. We use Express-Mail-Service (EMS) as our carrier, and delivery handling fee is the total sum of EMS shipping fee and 500 yen administration handling fee.
EMS shipping fee depends on the area and weight, so please confirm your fee here. Products are sent out from Tokyo or Chiba-prefecture.
For product weight, please refer here. Again, if you are willing a gift dispatch, we do not deliver internationally so please be forewarned.
