Just before the 11 a.m. launch, Shigesato Itoi arrived!
"I thought it might be a bit lonely with so few people around, so I decided to come to the office. But wow, I didn’t realize so many people were here!"
At 8 PM on Saturday, August 31st, in New York, Yoseka’s Hobonichi Countdown live streaming started!
The staff members are already getting into the party spirit with the audience on the other side of the screen. The team is showing off their outfits and how they’ve coordinated them with today’s covers, while also answering questions from the viewers.
They’ve even brought out some fun props!
Soon, they’ll be revealing the rankings of this year’s planners together with the customers. Which cover will make it to the S-rank?
If you’re still deciding which planner to choose, be sure to tune in!
This is the Hobonichi office building. In preparation for the launch of the Hobonichi Techo 2025, the team is gathered and on standby...some ready to handle inquiries, and others checking links after the release.
In early August, we hosted the Preview Party for the Hobonichi Techo 2025 at Stationery Fest, an event organized by Yoseka Stationery in New York. After the lineup was revealed, Yoseka kindly displayed samples of the 2025 covers in their store ahead of the release, and many customers stopped by to decide which cover to choose.
When I asked Neil if I could take a photo, he was concerned about the display being a bit messy, but I saw it as a sign that many people had been checking them out, so I purposely captured it just as it was. I'm truly filled with gratitude!
Hello, this is Cho, in charge of HR. I’m currently on vacation in New York, and it’s just past 9:00 PM on August 31st.
I’m thrilled to know that we have customers here who are excited about the Hobonichi Techo 2025. Since it’s such a special day, I decided to visit one of our partner shops, Yoseka Stationery.
They’ve been introducing the Hobonichi Techo to many customers each year, and tonight, they’ll start taking online orders at 10 PM, in sync with the release in Japan. To celebrate the Hobonichi Techo 2025 launch, they’ll be hosting a countdown live stream, and I’ve been invited to join them at the store!
The staff here are also big fans of the Hobonichi Techo, and the excitement is palpable! Usually, I watch the release from our office in Tokyo, but today, for the first time, I’ll be witnessing the launch overseas.
Thank you, Yoseka Stationery, for having me today. I look forward to continuing our collaboration!
"It's amazing! Someone across the ocean is doing the same thing as me... I'm so touched. I realized there are no borders between techo lovers."
When I first saw Anne's techo, I thought her method was a groundbreaking idea, almost like an invention. The fact that someone else is doing the same thing is quite rare, isn't it?
Or maybe... just maybe, there are even more people out there doing it too??
In the next room, the team supporting the sales system has set up a response room.
Is it okay if I take a picture of this room too? Oh, is it alright if that screen shows up in the photo?
“Oh, in that case, there's an image we’d like you to capture…” And here’s the image they prepared.
is the character representing Hobonichi’s I.T. Department. They’re not having a silly meeting, but this is just what the screen looks like when they made it safe for public viewing. These people are seriously hard at work!
