Hobonichi is a website that launched on June 6, 1998. Headed by copywriter Shigesato Itoi, it was known as the “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun” (Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper) until June 6, 2025.

Since its inception, we have continued to create a wide variety of content and products. Today, having introduced the globally beloved Hobonichi Techo and hosted events like the Joys of Life Event, Hobonichi has grown beyond a single website into a free and open space.

Hobonichi is a free space that cherishes creativity and ideas. We are constantly creating things that people will find interesting and things that will bring them joy.

Hobonichi Online Store

This official online store is run by Hobonichi. In addition to the Hobonichi Techo, Hobonichi sells a wide variety of original, collaborative, and curated products such as towels, clothing, food and drinks, and all kinds of things you can use in your daily life. Many of these products are available for overseas shipping, and while not all product pages have English translations, the check-out process at the end can still be conducted in English so you can enjoy shopping for other products alongside your Hobonichi Techo.
