A global pop icon and a driving force behind Japan’s “kawaii” culture, Hello Kitty has been loved across generations and borders. Now, Hello Kitty and the Hobonichi Techo have come together for a special collaboration.

Friends with my Techo is inspired by the “Hello Kitty Classic” design that has been popular since Hello Kitty’s debut in the 1970s. Made with necktie fabric, this Weeks captures the vivid red of the trademark ribbon on Kitty’s left ear.

Whether she is playfully framing her face with a techo or sitting nicely to read it, the design depicts Kitty playing in special poses created exclusively for the Hobonichi Techo, all rendered through the weave of necktie fabric. Her familiar, adorable silhouettes are intricately woven into a rich variety of patterns. Because it is crafted from genuine necktie fabric, this Weeks book offers a pleasant feel and an elegant, silky shine.

The cover has been constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends.

The Hobonichi Techo Weeks comes with a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The back of the book contains bonus pages. Both the Japanese and English editions feature standard favorites like My 100 and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.
