This Hobonichi Techo cover was created in collaboration with ARTS & SCIENCE, the shop and brand led by Sonya Park, who also directs the English-language edition of the Hobonichi Techo, the Hobonichi Techo Planner.

This year’s selection features matte shrink leather—chrome-tanned cowhide embossed with a natural shrink texture. The matte finish lends the leather a sense of refined elegance.

What makes this cover particularly striking is its pure white color. The leather is first dyed with pigment to create a vibrant base, then finished with surface dyeing to achieve its beautiful tone. The design has been kept simple and sophisticated to allow the clarity of the color to shine through.

The finely textured surface creates subtle shadows and adds depth. The leather is soft and smooth to the touch and becomes more supple as it adapts to your hand over time.

Each of the four corners inside the cover features a rounded slit to securely hold your techo. These soft curves add a touch of grace to the minimal design.

Silver-foil stamped logos for Arts&Science and Hobonichi appear along the slit. You can also use the slits to tuck in cards and small papers.

It has a pen hook designed to hold a pen by its clip.

Each pen hook is hand-stitched, adding a natural, artisanal touch to the design.

The bookmark is made from the same leather as the cover and features a simple, understated design.

The Planner is an English-language techo directed by Sonya Park, designed with thoughtful features unique to this edition—including bonus pages not found in other versions.

The Hobonichi Techo leather covers are made with all-natural materials that have their own unique appearance. Every leather cover is a one-of-a-kind, all-natural product, so you can feel good knowing your cover is the only one like it in the world. Here are some of the unique characteristics you can expect to find.
