Yuka HiiragiCover on Cover for A6 Size (Light in the Distance)
This is the decorated version of the Cover on Cover, an optional, extra covering that fits select Hobonichi Techo covers (for A6 size) to protect them from wear and tear while instantly giving solid-color covers a fresh new look. (Not for use directly on book.)
Light in the Distance was designed by Yuka Hiiragi, whose wide range of work involves illustrations and writing, and isn’t confined within a specific genre.
The theme of this design is seasonal constellations. Illustrated in gentle, calm colors are various constellations, including Lepus (the hare) in the winter, Ursa Minor (the bear cub, also known as the Little Dipper) in the spring, Cygnus (the swan) in the summer, and Pegasus in the fall. Having a theme with the moon, stars, and sun printed in elegantly shiny copper ink gives this design a nice, mature feel.
In order to preserve the design of this illustrated Cover on Cover, there is no opening located in the back to access the back pocket of the cover.
About Yuka Hiiragi
Illustrator and poet. Works under the motto, “Give shape to the invisible and share it with others” when it comes to her art and writing. Released a collection of works entitled Flowers and Words in 2020. Has held exhibitions in Japan and overseas, and worked on projects such as book design for Maiko Seo’s short story collection Gentle Music, visuals for events, illustrations for miscellaneous paper goods, and more.

- Not recommended for leather or faux leather covers
The Cover on Cover has been specially measured for use on the Colors and Faux Fabric lines of thin covers. Other covers may not fit properly into the Cover on Cover. The PVC vinyl of the Cover on Cover contains plasticizer additives which may affect the color and quality of a leather or faux leather cover and cause a reaction in the dye. To learn which covers do not go well with the Cover on Cover, please refer to the “Please Read Before You Buy” section on each product detail page.
- Avoid cold temperatures
The PVC vinyl of the Cover on Cover may lose elasticity and become difficult to put on when left in cold temperatures. If this happens, we recommend letting the product sit in a warm area before applying to your cover. Please be careful when handling your Cover on Cover in cold temperatures, as it becomes more susceptible to damages if dropped or handled roughly.
- No opening for cover back pocket
In order to preserve the attractiveness of the patterns, the Cover on Cover does not contain an opening for the back pocket of the planner cover. Please note you will not be able to access this pocket when this Cover on Cover is on.
