minä perhonenpiece, (spring mix)Weeks Cover Only

minä perhonen creates all-original garment textiles that are specially dyed, embroidered and woven to recreate designs that were originally hand-drawn. After many years of users asking for a minä perhonen cover for the Weeks, we’re thrilled to offer the “piece,” cover for the Weeks for the first time.

The “spring mix” cover for the weeks features 9 different textiles with color schemes including pink, yellow, green, navy, and more. The texture of each material’s embroidery and weaving makes it a pleasure to hold in your hands.

The green cover interior is made of cow leather and contains an embroidered butterfly on the top left as an accent. The pen hook on the right-hand side offers a place to hold a pen by the clip.

The zipper pull contains a loop made of natural leather, which is accented with a butterfly charm.

Each fabric patch is cut from a different spot in the original textile and sewn into the patchwork by hand, giving every cover an entirely unique look. Due to the limited nature of the textile leftovers used in the patchwork, this cover is available through lottery sale. For more information, please see the About Lottery Sales section below.

Textiles used in piece, spring mix

    1. tambourine (2000-01 Autumn / Winter)

Freehand-drawn circles are embroidered in dots that protrude from the fabric in this minä perhonen classic.

    2. land puzzle (2016-17 Autumn / Winter)

Corduroy ridges form various patterns, with shadows and 3D effects making it look like a scene you’re looking down on from the sky.

    3. choucho (2001 Spring / Summer)

Butterflies delicately flutter through the air in this charming, detailed work of embroidery.

    4. jungle relief (2008-09 Autumn / Winter)

This highly-detailed embroidered textile is packed with jungle animals.

    5. skip (2009-10 Autumn / Winter)

This soft and sturdy cotton linen is embroidered with the image of small blossoms fluttering playfully through the air.

    6. chorus (2010 Spring / Summer)

The flowers on this textured Velvet Jacquard textile almost appear to be singing.

    7. jellybeans (2002 Spring / Summer)

The original artwork for this piece contained tons of pencil-drawn ovals filled with watercolor paints that made it look like sparkling light. This design required 13 different silk screen plates.

    8. woolly ball(2009-10 Autumn / Winter)

This high-pile Jacquard textile depicts a fuzzy ball of yarn with a 3D look.

    9. rosy (2018-19 Autumn / Winter)

Thick threads draw out blooming roses in sharp lines that protrude from the fabric. The design is reminiscent of an antique oil painting with thick layers of paint.

    Please Read Before You Buy

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.

Actual specifications may vary from listing

Each item is individually assembled and sewn by hand by a factory worker. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.

    Pattern alignment varies by product

The patterned fabric has not been aligned to a specific layout, so the placement of each design will vary by product. The product will not be an exact replica of the one in the product photographs.

Threads may protrude from embroidered area

Please note that embroidered areas may contain threads that protrude from the design.

Stitching may be slightly curved or bumpy

Stitching may be slightly curved or bumpy as a result of sewing together materials of various thicknesses.

    Patchwork patterns vary by cover

The textiles comprising the patchwork design differ by design and location for each cover. Please understand the random nature of the design before ordering.

Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks

In order to allow customers the enjoyment of all-natural leather, the leather is processed in a way that retains its original feel. This may leave imperfections visible on the surface of the cover, such as wrinkles, scratches, stains, or vein marks.
Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.

    Use caution around sharp objects

The material in this product snags easily on sharp objects, so please handle with care.

This cover is meant to be fitted with one side of the Weeks book cover

This cover is designed to hold only one side of the planner book cover. Forcing both sides of the book into the cover will place stress on the book spine and may cause ripping or hinder the zipper.

Inquiries about the minä perhonen collaboration covers

These Hobonichi Techo cover designs were directed by minä perhonen, but produced by Hobonichi. Inquiries about these covers cannot be answered at minä perhonen shop locations, so please contact the Hobonichi Store with any questions or concerns.

Avoid storing in hot and humid places

Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
