The texture of the cover has been changed to a stylish matte feel, featuring less gloss than the 2013 edition.

An extra page has been added at the beginning of each month for highlighting important dates, making to-do lists, and writing other notes to help you plan ahead.

At the top of the daily pages are the international holidays for 30 countries, identified by their country code. (Japan, for example, is JP.)

The design of the monthly calendar pages has been simplified by removing the background colors of the graph paper.

One of the major changes this year to the design of the planner is from grid paper to dotted paper in the 16 memo pages.
