Look who’s hiding in here!
It’s Moomintroll!

The 2027 Moomin series techo Weeks is a special edition packed with Moomin magic inside and out! True to its “100% Moomin” concept, Moomintroll is right there on the front endpaper to greet you as soon as you open the cover.

Other beloved friends from Moominvalley also appear throughout many of the pages, including the Monthly Calendar and Bonus Pages.

At the bottom of each weekly page, we’ve included a special quote selected directly from the original Moomin novels—one for every week of the year. Featuring lines from a wide variety of characters, we hope you’ll enjoy encountering all of them as the weeks go by.

You’ll also find Little My waiting on the very last page,

and even the back endpaper has a special design! (See if you can spot the Hattifatteners hiding back there.)

Enjoy a full year filled to the brim with Moomin!

*Please note: This special interior layout is exclusive to the Japanese-language edition. The English-language edition features the standard Weeks layout.

A wide variety of
Yumi Kitagishi stationery!

Hello, we’re bringing you the latest Hobonichi Techo 2027 launch news.

Yumi Kitagishi’s collection has been receiving great reviews again this year for the 2027 lineup. She's collaborated with us for a whole host of new items, but her first ever designed HON is proving to be especially popular.

And here is a stationery item we highly recommend pairing with your HON:
The "Book Band with Charm (White Cat)"

Featuring a charming house-shaped charm that fits this year’s theme perfectly, this band holds up to two pens. Plus, because the band size is adjustable, it securely fits both A6 and A5 size HONs!

From the new “Ballpoint Pen (White Cat Bunny)” to the “Clips (Set of 3),” the lineup is full of stationery items that are not only adorable, but also incredibly practical and easy to use.

A report from Tobichi Tokyo.

At Tobichi Tokyo (Hobonichi's official retail store), entry on launch day was managed through an advance reservation system using digital numbered tickets.

In previous years, long queues would wrap around the store well before opening, leading to extended wait times. Thanks to everyone’s cooperation this year, the opening went wonderfully smoothly!

Here’s a look at the scene right before opening time! We asked the guests holding 11:00 AM entry tickets if we could take a quick photo to share on the site.

(Please note: Entry to Tobichi Tokyo today is strictly by advance reservation for the entire day.)

Recommended pens for
TSUKI no IRO inks.

In our 2027 TSUKI no IRO lineup, we’re thrilled to introduce a collaboration with Kakimori, a stationery brand beloved by writing enthusiasts worldwide! The collection features fountain pens, rollerball pens, and exclusive ink shades.

If you’re especially intrigued by the inks, we highly recommend the “Mini Ink Bottle Set.” It features 12 distinct shades curated to match the 12 monthly printing colors used inside the hobonichi techo, packaged into two sets of six bottles each (Jan - Jun & Jul - Dec).

As the project leader shared during our Preview Forest livestream, a single mini bottle holds enough ink to refill the Frost pen converter roughly three times! It may look compact, but it provides plenty of writing.

For anyone looking for a quick and easy way to sample these shades, we have the perfect companion item: the “Dip Pen - comoji”! Because its nib is exceptionally fine and slim, it glides smoothly right into the narrow neck of the mini ink bottle.

Since it’s a dip pen, a quick rinse under water lets you jump straight to trying another color. Be sure to check it out if you’re looking to explore the full spectrum of colors!

For those of you aiming
for a HON or Weeks,
how about trying the Pocket Envelope?

Good afternoon, we’re bringing you the latest Hobonichi Techo 2027 launch news.

For those of you out there who love making the most of the endpapers in your techo, we have a highly recommended stationery item for you.

Ta-da! Introducing the...
Pocket Envelope!!
It comes in three sizes to fit the Original (A6), Cousin (A5), and Weeks. Plus, each pack includes two envelopes.

It’s useful for any techo, but it really shines when attached to the endpapers of the Weeks or HON — or any techo you use without a cover!

To use it, just peel off the backing paper and stick it firmly in place. If you’re a little hesitant to stick it down right away, it might be a good idea to slip it into the clear pocket of your Weeks for a while to test it out!

You don’t have to limit it to just the endpapers, either. Try sticking it on any page or anywhere you see fit. It is also handy for those of you who use a techo cover.

We hope you enjoyed this helpful little tip!

A notebook you’ll want
to take with you on your travels!

Among the many charming and captivating items in the Hobonichi Techo 2027 lineup, there is one particular product that completely stole my heart.

It's the Hobonichi Landscape Notebook (I Dream of a Journey) created in collaboration with picture book author Akiko Miyakoshi.

First off, the illustration on the cover is simply sublime. It perfectly captures that unique feeling of going on a trip by airplane — a mix of fluttery excitement and a tiny touch of anticipation.

And then, there’s the back cover! It evokes the breathtaking view looking out of an airplane window—a scene you can only experience while flying high above the clouds. It displays a beautiful color gradient showing the soft light as the sun rises and sets.

I am completely smitten by this striking pairing between the front and back covers. Even when I’m not writing in the notebook, I’ll want to stand it upright on my desk just to enjoy it as decor.

On the bottom right of the cover, the phrase “Unforgettable Moments.” is foil-stamped in iridescent, rainbow-shimmering aurora colors. Seeing it makes me want to cherish this notebook and fill its pages with my own precious memories.

Inside, the pages feature a subtle light-yellow grid that looks easy to draw or write on! You can take a closer look at all the details here.

We also published an interview from when we visited Akiko Miyakoshi at her studio, so please give it a read if you’re interested.
