Liam is just a nice guy from England who speaks Japanese pretty well. He usually translates content for the Hobonichi Techo team, but he’s up for a challenge, open-minded, and a big fan of Japanese culture... In other words, a bit of a ‘character.’

So, we figured we’d create this space and see how it goes. For English speakers with an interest in Japan, he’ll be sharing videos about all sorts of things—from Japanese life and culture to what’s happening here at Hobonichi and in our neighborhood of Jimbocho.

ほぼ日のリアムは、
イギリスからやってきた日本語ぺらぺらの好青年。
ふだんはほぼ日手帳のチームで
コンテンツの翻訳などをやっていますが、
けっこうマニアックな日本の文化のファンだったり、
チャレンジ精神旺盛だったりで、
ようするに「おもしろそう」なキャラクターなので、
こういう場所をつくってみました。
日本に興味がある英語圏の人たちに向けて、
さまざまな日本のこと、あと、
ほぼ日のこととか、近所の神保町のことなどを、
動画で配信してもらおうと思います。
