“weeksdays” is a lifestyle brand and online shop created by stylist Masako Ito as part of Hobonichi. The theme is everyday living — clothing, food, and home living — along with all the little things that don’t quite fit into any one of those three categories but still make life more enjoyable.



This daily desk calendar is now in its fifth year as a weeksdays item.



The 2027 edition covers all 365 days. Weekdays and Saturdays feature photographs taken by Masako Ito herself, while the cover and holidays feature photographs by Suguru Ariga, the photographer who shoots nearly all of the visuals for weeksdays, styled by Ito. Each image is printed alongside a simple date and day of the week.



To make sure you never get tired of turning the pages, every decision about which photo appears on which day of which month has been made by Ito herself. Just flipping through it, you can feel the turning of the seasons.



The format is polaroid size, and the photos are printed at roughly the same scale. The paper is thin, but when you first open the stack, it’s a generous three centimeters thick. You can simply set it down as is, or prop it upright using the included backing card, which features a cut-out that folds into a stand.



You can peel off each page as you go and use them to decorate your techo. You can write memos on the back, use the pages like a small notepad, pin your favorites to the wall, or stick them onto jars on days when you make preserves to note the date. Beyond serving as calendar pages, these are charming little pieces of paper with all kinds of uses.



It’s like having a mini photo book of Masako Ito’s world woven into your daily life — a day-by-day calendar that gives you something to look forward to every morning as you wonder, “What photo will today bring?”
