HobonichiHobonichi Whiteboard Calendar 2027 - With Pocket

  • 2027 New

This compact desk calendar can be placed on your desk or by the front door so you can quickly jot down your plans. It pairs a message board — where you can write and erase notes and reminders as many times as you like — with a file pocket for storing slips of paper and markers. It’s a practical tabletop calendar that’s perfect for the whole family.

The artwork for the monthly numbers, the message board, and file pocket panels was created by ceramic artist Yuko Suga. Her works are chic and modern, yet exude an earthy warmth, and you’ll find yourself smiling at the humorous expressions and endearing charm within each piece. Once you’ve seen them, you won’t forget them — these works carry a world entirely Suga’s own, embodied by the numbers for each month. Every time you turn the page, a small, precious work awaits. It’s a whiteboard calendar that brings a touch of luxury to your room.

As a bonus item exclusively for purchases from the Hobonichi Online Store and Tobichi, you’ll receive a special Sticker modeled after one of Yuko Suga’s works.
(The bonus item is available while supplies last.)

Here’s what the Hobonichi Whiteboard Calendar 2027 - With Pocket is all about.

It’s a desk calendar but with plenty of room to write! Generously sized and easy to read from a distance.

Don’t underestimate this desk calendar. Its larger size and spacious layout make it a reliable hub for keeping family members or coworkers on the same page. There’s plenty of room to write schedules and notes in large, legible handwriting, so it’s easy to read even from a distance.

Flip the calendar over for a message board and file pocket!

This write-and-wipe message board has an attached pocket for keeping paper items organized. Use it to jot down messages and reminders, while storing tickets, bills, postcards, and other important things — or notes and information you want to share with the family. “Come here and you’ll find it. Come here and you’ll know.” That’s the kind of functional desk calendar this is.

The calendar pages include the previous and following months. When a month ends, simply tear it off.

The calendar pages show the previous and following months alongside the current one — a small but surprisingly useful improvement. Note that because of the file pocket structure, please detach each month’s page from the ring once it’s over.

Monthly numbers by Yuko Suga.

As with the 2027 Full Size and Medium editions, the With Pocket version’s artwork was created by Yuko Suga. Chic and modern, yet somehow playful — this is a calendar where a small, lovable work of art comes into your room with every page you turn.

The purchase bonus from the Hobonichi Online Store and Tobichi is an original sticker by Yuko Suga!

The purchase bonus for the 2027 edition is an original sticker by Yuko Suga. Stick them freely onto the clean calendar pages to customize it, or use them to mark important dates like birthdays and anniversaries.

The included whiteboard marker features a popular fine tip.

So you can fit as many characters as possible into this compact desk calendar, we updated the included marker to a fine-tipped version starting with the 2018 edition — and the response has been very positive ever since.

Please Read Before You Buy

We’ve compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Additionally, the color of the product may be slightly different in actuality than compared to how it appeared on a computer or smartphone screen.

As with standard whiteboards, surface may become dirty over time.

After continuously erasing and rewriting entries in the calendar, the whiteboard surface may darken over time. Use a wet wipe, a dampened tissue, or a cloth to clean the surface.

Writing may smudge or erase

Because this calendar is designed to be used with dry erase markers, accidentally rubbing your hand on an entry can smudge or wipe away the writing. Previous writing may also blur if left to remain on a month’s page while moving on to future months.
We recommend using a standard oil-based marker when writing important and certain dates you don’t want to erase, such as birthdays and anniversaries.

Not for use with water-based ink

Using markers with water-based ink, such as wet erase markers, will cause the ink to take a very long time to dry. Once the ink dries, it will be difficult to erase. Avoid using these types of markers.

Do not store in high temperatures

The whiteboard paper in this calendar is weak to heat. Avoid storing it in bathrooms or other rooms prone to becoming warm.
We have also confirmed that the marker pen can be affected by high temperature and humidity, and in rare cases, the ink may become permanent if left in such conditions for several days after writing. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can use the product with this in mind.

Storing the included whiteboard marker

Do not store the marker straight up or down, as it causes the ink to collect and stop coming out. We recommend storing the marker horizontally flat. In addition, ink may be difficult to dispense at first depending on the positioning of the products in the packaged set. If ink starts out difficult to dispense, leave the marker down flat in a horizontal position for a while before trying again.

About the magnet included with whiteboard marker

If the bottom of the pen starts to drop downward after placing the pen horizontally against the magnet, tightly squeeze the magnet on the pen cap with your finger. These adhesive magnet strips have been applied to the pen caps by hand, so they may not be exactly even. Squeezing the magnet back against the pen cap helps flatten the magnet strip and strengthen the magnetic pull.

About the metal bar included with calendar

The adhesive metal bar included with the Full Size and Medium Size calendars can be applied wherever you like such as atop the calendar. The metal bar is intended to provide a spot for you to store your dry erase marker by the magnet on the pen cap. You can also use your own magnet to store receipts and notes on this spot.

*Items stored here by a magnet have the possibility of getting lost, so we do not recommend storing especially important receipts or tickets.
*Metal bar is made of tin. Tightly squeezing the bar and its edges or rubbing the edges against your hands may result in injury. Please handle with care.
Keep out of reach of children.
