“Iwate Home Spun: Sherbet Tweed” is a refreshing tweed fabric woven on a white base, using threads dyed in light blue, yellow, red, pink, and more, along with shimmering gold lamé threads.



The name Home Spun refers to the tweed fabric’s hand-spun and hand-woven feel. Starting with the dyeing of the yarn, the textile is made entirely in a small factory in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture.



Glittering lamé yarn, silk threads, washi paper, and other threads of varying strength and materials are all woven together in a meticulous process about 1/3 the normal weaving speed. This slow speed allows the material to retain air and keep a soft, pleasant fluff. The interior is a vibrant light blue.
