We first introduced the Avec in response to customers who struggled with bulging books after collecting a year's worth of pasted material in the daily pages. The Avec splits the year into books of six months each.
Because it’s split into two books, it’s lightweight which makes it easy to carry around, and it also won’t get bulky even if you paste many things into your techo.
The front cover of Book 2 (July-December) of the Avec is ice blue.
Just like the Japanese A5 size Hobonichi Techo Cousin, this Avec version shares the exact same page structure and layout. (There are only slight variances in calendar spans and the number of bonus pages in the back.) The spacious one-page-per-day layout allows you to fill the pages to your heart’s content with scheduling, diaries, notes, tickets, photographs, doodles, and anything else you can imagine.
The book has the same thread-stitch binding as a dictionary, allowing it to lay flat without having to hold it down, providing a comfortable writing experience.
The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. It's characterized by its ability to hold ink well and provide a smooth writing experience.
Other than the daily pages with lots of space to write, the book contains several sections that are great for schedule management, such as a yearly calendar, monthly calendar, and yearly index page. The Cousin also has an exclusive section: the popular weekly pages track a week in each two-page spread for easy planning and contain a handy time schedule.
The back of the book has bonus pages, including Memories 2026, 12 Switches to Help You Focus, and For a Comfortable Night’s Sleep.

The Tomoe River paper designed for planners is known for its thinness and smooth writing surface. However, depending on the type and amount of ink or pen used—as well as environmental conditions—some ink may bleed through or take longer to dry. We recommend testing your pens on an inconspicuous area first, or using a pencil board or blotting paper for best results.
