Illustrator Yumi Kitagishi created the artwork featured on this Weeks book cover.
The world in Kitagishi’s acrylic gouache paintings evoke warm, nostalgic feelings reminiscent of childhood days spent gazing at picture books.
The concept behind this Weeks book is “carrying around my own framed artwork.” A special feeling like holding a small work of art by Kitagishi in your own hands, has been created using machines from Kiryu, a town famous for weaving. The special feel and silky sheen of the texture make it different from printed designs, and the navy color gives it a mature look.
The cover depicts a cat in a colorful frame. It’s holding stuffed animals—a bear and a rabbit—as if to say “hey, look at this!”
The bottom right of the front cover is foil-printed in silver with a message that reads “Hope you have a wonderful day.”
The year is also foil-printed on the spine of the book in silver. It sparkles when the light hits it just right.
The back of the cover also includes a lovely pansy.
Because the illustration is depicted through woven fabric and not a print, each cover has the motif placed in a slightly different position. We hope you enjoy this one-of-a-kind design.
Kitagishi’s illustrated designs are also featured on folder sets, Hobonichi Paper(s), and Deco Rush products. Feel free to use them together as a set.
When you order this Hobonichi Techo Weeks, you’ll receive a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.
The Weeks book has space for writing in plans or journal entries, and it also has 69 pages of grid paper memo pages in the back (73 pages in the English edition Weeks). The back of the book contains informational pages, including An Interview with Myself and Seasonal Sweets to Make at Home.
The Hobonichi Techo 2024 Weeks book comes in either Japanese or English. If you love this cover, then you can pick out which language you’d like in that book.
*The English edition book only comes in January-start.
If you’d like storage space or a way to change up the look of your Weeks book, you can customize your book by pairing it with a Weeks cover.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
The pattern on the cover material may become slightly uneven during the production process. This is an unavoidable aspect of the process.
The patterned fabric has not been aligned to a specific layout, so the placement of each design will vary by product. The product will not be an exact replica of the one in the product photographs.
The material in this product snags easily on sharp objects, so please handle with care.
The numbers of the year are stamped onto the cover in metallic or other colored leaf, so strong rubbing or everyday use may cause the numbers to peel off.
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
