The yo-yo is a type of weapon available for the main characters in EarthBound. In MOTHER 3, it appears as a precious treasure in Pokey’s room. Yo-yos are an important item in the MOTHER series.
This yo-yo has a stylish red body to encapsulate the iconic red of the MOTHER series. It has the logo featured boldly in the center, and the string is also a deep red.
The model was based on the YoYoFactory Loop 720 that was introduced in 2017. It’s a nice, stable model that’s perfect for beginners, but was also directed by 6-time world champion Shu Takada so that it would be best suited for tricks like the Loop the Loop and Around the World.
The yo-yo interior contains the standard metal spacers and ball beams for superior reliability. The width of the gap is set specifically for looping tricks, so the yo-yo will return to you even if you don’t use special oil lubrication or modifications. The ball bearings make the yo-yo easy to sleep, and provide a nice balance for use.
The Loop 720 is truly a classic yo-yo design with its standard look and features. The yo-yo comes in a translucent plastic case decorated with the “SMAAAASH!!” text for putting it on display.
