TravelA6 Size (fits Planner and Original)
This Hobonichi Techo cover was created in collaboration with art director Naomi Hirabayashi. It has a commanding presence, and has taken cues from a travel wallet in its design. The shape has been simplified into a rectangle with no prints or labels on the outside so as to accentuate the beauty of the leather itself.
The dent in the center of the cover acts as a pen holder and provides a place to hang the pen clip from the outside.
The cover interior includes many pockets and features English labels printed in gold. The labels read "Driving License," "Insurance Card," "Credit Cards," "Business Cards, "Documents," "Tickets," and "Bills," with "Hobonichi Techo" printed on the edge.
The cover features high-quality Italian pigskin, which is dense and sturdy. This simple and durable cover is also filled with charm, and makes a great companion for everyday life.
About Naomi Hirabayashi
Born in Tokyo. Joined Shiseido after graduating Musashino Art University with a degree in Design. Spent a year in London design studio MadeThought in 2002 and after returning to Japan embarked on a freelance career in Art Direction and Graphic Design in 2005. Main products include art direction for companies (marunouchi) HOUSE, la kagu, and UNITED ARROWS. Designed packaging for HOPE and NTT DOCOMO, and designed CD jackets for Yano Akiko, Hikaru Utada, DREAMS COME TRUE, and more. Provided art direction for magazine Ginza. Won many awards for her work, including the JAGDA New Designer Award, the ADC Award, the NY ADC Gold award, the British D&AD award, and more.

- All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances
Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
- Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks
In order to allow customers the enjoyment of all-natural leather, the leather is processed in a way that retains its original feel. This may leave imperfections visible on the surface of the cover, such as wrinkles, scratches, stains, or vein marks.
Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.- Leather coloring stains
Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands.
- Glossy leather does not age like tanned leather
Unlike tanned leather, glossy leather does not visibly age and change over time.
- Each leather product has a unique look
This product uses leather that retains a great deal of unique characteristics. The leather will appear different depending on which area from which it was cut, so your product will not look exactly the same as that pictured on the product page.
- Immediately dry cover if it gets wet
Immediately dab your cover with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.
- Avoid storing in hot and humid places
Please avoid storing your cover in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower product quality and color stains. Please use caution when storing.
- The cover does not shut tightly
The cover does not shut tightly while it is new, but it will wear in over time.
- Card pocket width is business-card-sized
The card pockets inside the cover are sized to perfectly fit standard-size business cards (55 mm wide). The pockets may be slightly rigid and difficult to use at first, but this will soften over time.
- Foil stamped areas may peel
The foil stamping in the interior of the cover may begin to peel over continued use. Please do not scratch.
- Color may vary slightly based on viewing screen
The color of the product may be slightly different in actuality than compared to how it appeared on a computer or smartphone screen.
