This simple tote bag is made from the same leather used in TS2018/Butler.
Butler is a strikingly textured cow leather, chosen by graphic designer Taku Satoh for the Techo cover of TS series.
This leather was tanned by Sanyo, a tannery in Himeji with over one hundred years of history. Sanyo employs vegetable tanning, a classical method that requires great care, transforming North American raw hides into the fine leather with a dramatic surface and refined grain; marks of high-quality, Japan-made leather. The more you use this naturally made cover, the more it acquires a character of its own.
This bag is designed to fit an A4 sized laptop or document snugly. It keeps shape whether you hold it by hand or hang it on your shoulder. Its wide base allows it to stand on its own when placed on the ground.
There are two inner pockets. A deep pocket that fits a long wallet, and a shallower pocket for your phones and other knickknacks.

Graduated from Tokyo University of The Arts in 1979, majoring in design, and completed his master’s degree in 1981.
Joined Dentsu, Inc. before establishing the Taku Satoh Design Office in 1984.
Created product designs and branding for Oishii Gyunyu Milk, Lotte XYLITOL Gum, and much more.
Currently active across a broad spectrum of projects, including general direction for NHK Educational TV’s “Design-Ah” series and art direction for “Nihongo de Asobo.”
Current director of design museum 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT in Tokyo.

- Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks

Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.- Leather coloring stains
Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands.
- Each leather product has a unique look
This product uses leather that retains a great deal of unique characteristics. The leather will appear different depending on which area from which it was cut, so your product will not look exactly the same as that pictured on the product page.
- Immediately dry the product if it gets wet
Immediately dab the product with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid
drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated
place in the shade.- Avoid storing in hot and humid places
Please avoid storing your cover in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower product quality and color stains. Please use caution when storing.
