Every year, our lineup includes covers in the popular “World Folk Patterns” series, which features motifs from all over the world. The Land of Sedona is based on southwestern Native American design. The artwork was modeled after the image of a Native American chief standing alone with a textile draped over his shoulder, or a rug laid out in the floor of a tipi.
The color scheme works well as a Hobonichi Techo cover because it’s so pleasant to look at on a daily basis. The design, a recreation of patterns often used in weaving, was originally hand-drawn by World Folk Patterns series designer Masako Kusakabe and is printed onto the cover.
The bookmarks have a suede feel to them and contain turquoise beads at the ends.
Sedona is considered sacred to Native Americans. Perhaps having this cover invoke images of Sedona’s vast skies and landscape in your daily life will keep you energized.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
- All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances
Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
- Black or white dots on the cover
On rare occasions, there may be small black or white dots visible on the cover. This is an unavoidable aspect of the manufacturing process.
- Outer pocket pattern may not align perfectly
The outer pocket is designed to align with the pattern beneath it, but pattern alignments may be imperfect due to the manual production process.
- Interior of cover may be loose
The interior of the cover may not be perfectly taut due to limitations during the manufacturing process.
- Cover may attract dust
The cover exterior contains a raised-nap finish that may attract dust or other particles. You can use a lint roller to clean the cover, but be sure to avoid using tape with excessively strong adhesive as this may damage the material.
- Threads are napped and uneven
Threads may contain uneven thickness or naps (knots and lumps in the material).
- Avoid pulling the bookmark charm
Please use caution and avoid pulling the charm on the end of the bookmarks, as it may cause them to rip off.
- Sliding no-slip pens into the pen holder
Pens with rubber, non-slip grips may be difficult to slide into the pen holder.
- Maximum pen width of 13.5mm for pen holder
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Japanese-version Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5mm (0.53”) in diameter.
- Avoid exposing Cover on Cover to cold temperatures
The PVC plastic of the Cover on Cover may lose elasticity and become difficult to put on when left in cold temperatures. If this happens, we recommend letting the product sit in a warm area before applying to your cover. Please be careful when handling your Cover on Cover in cold temperatures, as it becomes more susceptible to damages if dropped or handled roughly.
- “Cover Only” price change
Due to an increase in material costs and other unavoidable factors, starting with the 2017-edition, it has become difficult to maintain the usual price of our Colors and Faux Fabric covers. In order to maintain the price of the covers, we will be offering these covers at the usual price when bought as a set with the Hobonichi Techo book. We apologize for the trouble, but when ordering the cover without a book, we will not be able to keep that price, so Cover Only orders will cost slightly more. Please add to your cart as a “Book & Cover set” to keep the cover’s lower price.

The color of the product may be slightly different in actuality than compared to how it appeared on a computer or smartphone screen.
